Crosspulse and Artistic Director Keith Terry celebrate the release of our first CD for Kids & their Families! Featuring Keith Terry, with Amber Hines, Evie Ladin, Omar Ledezma, and Tacuma King.
After two decades of educational outreach and programming including concerts, workshops, and residencies, Crosspulse Percussion Ensemble has produced their first CD of children’s music, an album that the whole family will enjoy! Part international drill team, part polycultural rhythm section, Crosspulse Percussion Ensemble weaves the oldest musical instrument, the human body, with instrumental webs of hand drums, bells, clave, bass, banjo, voice, found sound and more. Each of the members bring their own deep traditions of the African Diaspora to collaborate on the many ways African music and dance are a part of cultures throughout the Americas, and here in Oakland, California. CD recorded with special guests the St. Paul School 5th grade choir, Oakland.
I Like Everything About You (Yes I Do!) immediately started getting regular airplay on Sirius XM Kids Place Live, jazz station KCSM, and family radio programs nationwide.
