Corposonic is a Body Music Ensemble – From Voice to Feet, where Sound and Shape collide, using the full sonic and physical range of body as musical instrument. Corposonic is music you can SEE and dance you can HEAR. Odd-time signatures, crosspulses, tight rhythmic sequences in layered choreography, with the full harmonics of a cappella singing and beatbox. Keith Terry’s contemporary Body Music vocabulary, choreographed with Evie Ladin. The Oakland, California-based sextet is deeply rooted in jazz, funk and world music grooves. Corposonic has been a cornerstone at the International Body Music Festivals in San Francisco, Brazil and Turkey, performed at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors Festival in New York, University of Michigan and other venues.
The Corposonic Trio – Keith Terry (Body Music), Steve Hogan (Beatbox) & Bryan Dyer (Bass Vocals)- perform as a rhythm section, behind some of the finest vocalists. Most recently they hosted a night at Nardis Jazz Club in Istanbul, Turkey, as a part of the Akbank Jazz Festival – playing behind and with many artists from the International Body Music Festival, and popular Turkish jazz singer, Elif Caglar-Muslu.
